During my early childhood, my family moved around a lot, and everywhere we lived, art was readily available. I became interested in it and its many forms and facets, and it quickly became an integral part of my life. Of all my teachers and early life experiences, the ones involving art are the ones I remember best. When I got older, I spent less time in art, trying to figure out who I was and who I wanted to be and came full-circle in high school when I was re-introduced to art my senior year. I studied art in college, graduating with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from Stephen F. Austin University in 1992 and continued my education at Texas A&M University of Commerce, where I received a Master of Arts in 1994.
